House of Representatives Election: Three days public holiday

Kathmandu, February, 14. The government has decided to give three days of public holiday targeting the election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on February 21, 2082. According to the public notice issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, a public holiday will be given from February 20 to 22, 2082 (three days). It is said that a public holiday has been given to ease the management from the day before the polling to the initial stage of counting of votes.
In the context of the election, security arrangements, polling center management and staff mobilization have been prioritized, according to the home administration. The government has also called upon the general voters to exercise their right to vote.
The Election Commission had already said that all the preparations for the voting had reached the final stage. With the decision of public holidays, government offices, public bodies and most educational institutions will remain closed during that period.
