This year's monsoon has left Nepal completely
Kathmandu, October 24. This year's monsoon has completely ended in Nepal. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, it has been announced that the monsoon has ended on 24 October 2082 (2025 October 10).
According to the Monsoon Departure Bulletin-2 published by the department on Friday, the monsoon started to gradually withdraw from the western parts of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces on Asoj 20th (October 6). After that, the monsoon ended from the central and eastern parts of the country gradually and the entire Nepal is monsoon-free from today, the department said.
According to the department, this year monsoon started from Asoj 2nd (September 18). Compared to last year, the monsoon has ended 8 days later this year. The department has requested to continuously observe the latest weather information saying that the effect of local wind system and westerly air flow may increase with the end of monsoon.
Monsoon in Nepal usually ends gradually by the first or second week of October. During this period, the monsoon rains will decrease in most parts of the country and cold weather will begin, the department said.
The Weather Forecast Division has requested all citizens, farmers and stakeholders to regularly get information about upcoming weather changes.
